Album “Nine” is released

“Nine” | 2022

Farzad Golpayegani’s ninth album, “Nine” released on October 14th 2022.

There are 10 tracks in this album, which are mostly progressive metal with Middle Eastern influences, and a few songs closer to acoustic and fusion. Farzad G has explored new guitar technics which are reflected on his riffs and solos. He also has used his innovative acoustic guitar tuning along with electric guitar rhythm which creates his signature Oriental Metal grooves. There are instrumental and also vocal music, and as always, many guitar solos within the songs.

Guitar virtuoso Scott Collins, has features on “Reaching The Horizon” on acoustic guitar. You can find the guitar solo exchange between Farzad and him at 1:34. Their music collaborations backs to 2015 in their fusion and acoustic project Korisoron. To find more about Scott Collins, please visit his official website at: scottcollinsguitar.com

Nine will be released on October 14th 2022

Happy to announce my 9th full album will be released on October 14th, 2022.

There are 10 tracks, which are mostly progressive metal with Middle Eastern influences, and 2 closer to acoustic and fusion style. I have explored some new guitar technics which are reflected on riffs and solos. I believe those will be interesting to shred guitar enthusiasts.

As always, due to life events there were a few gaps in the production. As you may know, music is not my only career, and I needed to focus on art direction and design for a while. Now I feel relieved that I completed it after 4 years!

The album will be in digital format only, and I’m not planning to release any physical CDs. I will post short videos and excerpts from the album soon, so stay tuned!

The Metal Crypt – Underground Metal Special: Iran

Farzad is among the featured Iranian Heavy Metal artists at the special issue of The Metal Crypt.

Heavy Metal isn’t the first thing that comes to mind when talking about music in Iran, if it comes up at all. However, The Metal Crypt is known for supporting (real) metal bands from all corners of the world and allowing people to share their views about metal music no matter which part of the world they come from.
Iran does have an underground metal scene, which is literally underground because the authorities there, who control most of Iran’s society, apparently see metal music as amoral and dangerous for the youth of their country. In light of that, what does not kill you makes you stronger, which applies to many of the artists and bands from the Iranian metal scene.
The following article is a sneak peek into the Iranian underground metal scene and is also dedicated to all Iranian metal musicians who play and listen to metal music because it is their great passion and despite it being forbidden in the Islamic Republic of Iran..

Please find the complete article at The Metal Crypt website.

All That I Get – Painting process time lapse

“All That I Get” is the fifth piece of my latest painting collection. This artwork goes after a track from my music album “Eight” which has the same title.

I spent around 14 hours finishing this, which is not easy while working a full-time job, and stay physically and mentally healthy! As a routine, now that I finished this painting I will get back to music projects for a while. Stay tuned for some updates soon 🤘
