“KORISORON” band, Farzad’s new music project
Farzad Golpayegani and amazing composer and musician Scott Collins have recently formed “KORISORON” band. Currently they are working on Instrumental International Acoustic Guitar Duo, and perform local shows.
KORISORON plays tunes inspired by the musics of Iran, Turkey, Spain, Romania, Northern India, Japan and other parts of the world.
Name of the band “KORISORON” comes from Persian Accidentals called “Sori” (Quarter step high) and “Koron” (Quarter step low).

Woman & Invisible Iranian Cinema Festival
Farzad performed music at opening reception and closing of the third “Festival Cinema Invisible” at Proctor’s Theatre, Schenectady, NY on June 5th 2014. He also attended the discussion panel after documentary Movies: “Back Vocal”, “Scorpio” and “Off Beat” regarding Rock and Underground music in Iran.
He performed a few pieces from album “Four” and “Five” and couple of improvisation pieces as solo performance.
Also during this 4 day festival an art exhibition which included 3 of Farzad Artworks was held.
Many thanks to Dr. Mahmood Karimi-Hakak, Elahe Golpari and all friends who made such a memorable evening.
