Logo and brand guidelines
For a successful brand to remain relevant and evolve, change must be strategic. As Senior Designer, my goal was to amplify the brand’s visual strengths while phasing out elements that no longer aligned with contemporary US standards, ensuring the refresh didn’t feel risky to the business.
For MK Lighter, this meant preserving the iconic ‘Electric Blue’ equity rather than a complete overhaul. I simplified the surrounding graphics to create a cleaner, modern look while retaining brand recognition. To further elevate the identity, I introduced sophisticated motion graphics, such as the animation below used for the company introduction video.
Logo video
This concise animation was designed as a signature outro for social media content and digital advertisements. Modeled and animated in Cinema 4D, the visual was originally enhanced by a custom musical composition.

Iconography
To clearly communicate product features, I established a minimal iconographic style. This system translated technical functionalities into tangible visuals, making the information accessible to the audience. Over time, these icons became an integral part of the brand’s visual personality.
Packaging
The launch of the Outdoor Series marked a strategic expansion for the MK Lighter brand. This new product line embraced sustainability and nature appreciation, diverging from the generic branding to resonate with environmentally conscious consumers. By addressing growing concerns over landfill impact, the series quickly gained market traction.
I initiated and directed the visual identity for this packaging, leading a small but mighty design team to bring the concept to life.
Product shots
By collaborating with the engineering department to utilize their raw 3D models, I established a streamlined visualization workflow. I optimized these assets in Cinema 4D and Adobe Dimension, applying realistic textures, lighting, and rendering to bring the products to life.
This approach made the testing and trial phases significantly more efficient. It enabled leadership to visualize and evaluate new colors, materials, and prints before the production phase. Furthermore, this virtual pipeline eliminated the need for traditional studio photography, drastically reducing retouching and post-production time.
Spin videos
In the e-commerce landscape, comprehensive product visibility is essential for building trust and transparency, factors that directly influence conversion. To address this, I produced high-definition spin videos showcasing the lighters in a full 360-degree view.
These assets became integral to our B2B and B2C strategies, deployed successfully across our website, Amazon storefront, and digital presentations for OEM clients.
Website and product pages
A thoughtful design system and organized workflow are essential for streamlining large-scale projects like a website overhaul. For the MK Lighter site, this process involved selecting the optimal WordPress theme and curating imagery to match the brand’s new visual style.
I led the creative direction for these visuals, guiding the design team in generating assets that aligned perfectly with the brand’s mood.
Digital advertisement
By curating a centralized pool of original assets, I streamlined the production pipeline for digital advertisements and social media content. The example below synthesizes these elements into a single, high-impact video designed for maximum exposure.

Presentation
Engaging presentations are a powerful sales tool, playing a crucial role in directing both online and in-person meetings. The examples below demonstrate a consistent, easy-to-follow layout that integrates technical drawings, measurements, product shots, color options, and packaging details alongside iconography.
The light gray background was purposefully selected to make the vibrant product images stand out, while the faded mountain graphic at the top introduces an organic, nature-friendly theme to the overall design.

Marketing Collateral
Catalogs, business cards, letterheads, and flyers are essential touchpoints for brand communication. Beyond the visual design, I prioritized technical precision and file hygiene.
I established strict protocols for asset linking, archiving, and layer naming within Adobe Creative Suite. This disciplined approach ensured that all files remained organized and easily editable for any team member in the future.

Illustration
Managing a vast illustration library, spanning core products, limited editions, and seasonal releases, requires more than a single aesthetic. To ensure visual cohesion across diverse styles, I established a strict design system.
By defining precise color palettes, stroke weights, and scaling rules, I maintained a unified brand identity while allowing for necessary creative variation.
