Biography

Farzad Golpayegani was born in May 1979 in Tehran/Iran. He is son of late Behzad Golpayegani (Painter & Graphic Designer 1938-1985). Farzad is graduated in graphic and works in the fields of Music and Visual Art.

Farzad Golpayegani started to learn Painting and Graphics in the high school of Art. After a while he enjoyed Illustration and Cartooning. Style of his drawing and paintings are close to Expressionism and Surrealism. He has had some painting and drawing exhibitions so far.

He owes his passion to music, to his older brother. In 1994, when he bought his first guitar, he started to focus on music seriously. He got a teacher in his early learning but His serious practices refers to the period when he used to work and practice alone. He gained new experiences through methods & careful listening to the other music works. From the beginning, Farzad was so anxious about Improvise and self-experiences instead of performing other player's music.

The style of Farzad's works are Fusion Metal and traits of them are: technical playing of Electric Guitar (7-string), use eastern tunings for Acoustic Guitar, mix Eastern, Persian and Classic music with Metal music, various atmosphere and progressive feel, various tracks on a same album & ...

Farzad has composed, played, recorded, mixed and mastered the tracks and has designed album cover by himself. He personally has played 7-string Electric Guitar, Acoustic Guitar and Bass Guitar and for the Percussions, Drums and keyboards he has composed the notes and computer programming. Also he has had other musicians in his songs.

Name of the tracks are the numbers in song writer's track-list. The reason is the importance of musical concept against understanding under track name's influence.
